West Winch Primary School (taken from the school field) - Summer 2011
The school has large playing fields on site and two smaller playing fields. Classes work in individual classrooms but enjoy access to shared open areas (Reception & Key Stage 1), a hall, a library in the main school entrance, an ICT suite and an art/design and technology room. The class teacher is responsible for the academic progress and pastoral care of all pupils in their class, though occasionally teachers join together or exchange classes to utilize individual expertise. Classes, groups of pupils and individual pupils are supported by Teaching Assistants according to their needs.
At playtime staff are on duty in each playground and on the field if the weather is fine. At lunchtime, Midday Supervisory Assistants (MSAs) supervise the dining hall and play areas.
The non-teaching staff are an essential part of the school team. Parents also help in the school. Children are expected to show respect to all adults who help or visit the school.
We are proud of our school - we want our children and parents to share this sense of pride. We seek your cooperation in seeing that children respect it at all times.
